Traditions
For those that don't know we have some very special traditions at BUFC, from away days to AGM's you've come to the right place to get the low-down. Starting off with those basics that most will remember playing, it has to be the drinking games!
Drinking games
21's - The game basically consists of counting from 1 to 21. Not quite so easy however when you start to involve a little bit of alcohol and Kyle Wareing.
A favourite nowadays it starts off with a designated 'starter' declaring "To my Left/Right 1". The player to the starter's Left or Right must continue in order i.e. 2, this continues until 21 is reached. The player who calls 21 gets to replace the number with a word/phrase/action i.e. 2 becomes GREEN ARMY! Then you start over again.
But it's not quite that easy, once the game has begun, i.e. 1 has been called, a player can declare up to 3 sequential numbers i.e. 2,3 or 2,3,4 at any time. 2 numbers changes the direction, whilst 3 numbers skips the next player. Simples!
I Have Never.... Quite possibly the simplest game to grasp. Whoever starts begins with "I have never..." and then adds something relevant i.e. "I have never played for Bangor Uni" Anyone who has drinks, so in this case everyone would drink. That example is tame to say the least compared to some I have never's you will hear!
Train Game - Well err I can't really think how to describe this, you ask if you can take a train from one place to another...and learn the catch.
We don't want to spoil all of them for you though so we'll move onto songs.
Songs
"We do what we want, we do what we want, we're Bangor Football, we do what we want!"
One person shouts 'GREEN ARMY', to which everyone else responds "GREEN ARMY'. This continues...for as long as possible.
"Bangor boys, we are here s******g your women and drinking your beers, with a knick-knack paddywhack give a dog a bone, why don't (insert object of hate here) f**k off home."
The same applies to songs, it's safe to say some individuals have their own special spot in BUFC folklore and there are plenty more out there!
